Shraddha Kapoor comments on Stree 2 surpassing Shah Rukh Khan-led blockbusters Jawan and Pathaan at the box office

When asked about her feelings on Stree 2 breaking box office records and surpassing the lifetime collections of iconic films of Shah Rukh Khan, Shraddha Kapoor responded with a mix of humility and excitement.

In an interview with NDTV, Shraddha Kapoor emphasized her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, stating, “I have a fantastic leading man in our Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan, who I’ve grown up being a fan of, so we’ll keep that where it belongs. But to be very honest, I am thrilled and overjoyed to be part of a film that has received so much love.”

When inquired if she had met Shah Rukh Khan following the success of Stree 2, Shraddha Kapoor clarified that she doesn’t view the box office as a competition. “I know you’re mentioning repeatedly that our film has beaten this film or that film,” she said. “But honestly, the way I see it, any Hindi film doing well is great for the industry.”

Furthermore, Shraddha shared her long-term vision for the film industry, noting, “It’s exciting to have a film that does well, but it’s even more exciting when the entire industry thrives, and collectively, a lot more films succeed.”

Shraddha Kapoor expressed gratitude for her films’ success

During the same event, Shraddha Kapoor expressed her gratitude for the love she received for both Aashiqui 2 and the Stree franchise. When the host inquired about the possibility of Aashiqui 3, Shraddha replied, “Not to my knowledge. However, if the creators decide to pursue a sequel, I’m sure they will come up with something very intriguing. Aashiqui has given me immense love and appreciation; it’s the film that transformed my career.”

She continued, “If they do decide to create something new, I believe it would be truly fantastic. And I’m always open to taking on challenging roles as an actor, especially if there’s something different for me to explore.”
